If you ever wondered how many people use particular social media sites every minute, here is the answer. Based on views on YouTube, Likes on Facebook and Stumbles on Stumbleupon here is a sexy infographic by those clever people at Social Jump Start .
We’re so used to reading big numbers within the social industry that they are having less impact. Despite that, these social media usage figures are colossal. Libya is World’s fastest growing country on Facebook

Libya is Facebook’s fastest growing country in terms of percentage increase in national users over the last 6 months. Usage of Facebook in the north African country has gone up 588.86% with Facebook users rising to 316,000 in 6 months.

India is the second-most populous country with over 1.2 billion people and a burgeoning online community. It’s the also the world’s tenth largest economy, so we wanted to see how Indian Brands and India customer focussed Facebook pages penetrated the world’s largest social network. As you will see from the chart below a fair proportion of the pages are American Brands, with an Indian stance. Also it seems the Indian public enjoy supporting telecom providers as well as the more obvious Cricket teams on Facebook.

30 Million UK Facebook Users

Facebook announced last week that it now has more than 30 million UK users. That’s around half the population which is very good news for anyone in the business of social media marketing. The site has added around 4 million UK users in the last eight months alone. (more…)
Facebook Usage Breakdown by Country 2010

Facebook Usage is growing in every country, everywhere. We can all probably guess who the top nations are in terms of Facebook usage can’t we?
Which country has the most Facebook users 2010?
The USA has 127 million Facebook users and in second place the UK has 27.5 million Facebook users. So no surprises there. However, what is slightly more unexpected is that Indonesia follows closely behind in third place, with a rather grand 25,912,960 Facebook users and is catching fast and is due to have the second most users any time now.
Then following are the larger populations of Europe: with Turkey 23.5 million Facebook users; France have under 20 million Facebook users; Italy, 17.7 million users.
Leading the way for Facebook usage in Africa is South Africa with a lowly 2.8 million. Facebook Usage in India is similar to that of Australia, a country with a tiny fraction of the population.
